Applications for membership are welcome after an initial contact period of at least six months. During that time, inquirers receive our newsletter, Footsteps, stay in touch with the Vocations Coordinator, and are encouraged to participate in regional gatherings and national retreats, conferences, and chapters.
When an applicant is accepted as a candidate, s/he is required to initiate a spiritual formation program spanning at least two years, leading to investiture as a novice and the pronouncement of first vows. After having renewed vows in each of three successive years, a member has the options of continuing to renew them annually or pronouncing perpetual vows as a life-professed member.
We also conduct an Associates Program for persons who, while not aspiring to become vowed religious, wish to be affiliated with the community and support our over-all efforts and individual ministries. The Associates Program is available to everyone, including non-Christians.
